SIMPSON AUTO PROS LLC is a mobile automotive detailing and restoration business that has a sole purpose and focus on providing high level quality and ensuring that every vehicle that is touched by us is introduced to the highest level of perfection possible. Our business is based in Columbia South Carolina and was founded in 2021 by owner George Simpson who is a current first responder and lifelong avid car enthusiast with over a decade of automotive detailing experience to go along with a high passion for service. High emphasis is placed on quality rather than quantity within our business for several reasons: The most important of which is simply because that is what WE would want and would expect for ourselves as a consumer. What areas do you service?
We are a fully mobile business and we service all areas associated with Richland county, Lexington county, the city of Cayce and the City of Columbia. If you are not located within one of these regions, but would still like for our services to be provided to you then it would be a possibility depending on the nature/frequency of the work that you need. We will be able to start the process to obtain the legal licensing to also operate in your area, but this will be on a case-by-case basis. Just reach out and inquire!
Do you operate by appointment only?
For most part, this is true. However; there are circumstances where our services will be provided without an appointment being scheduled in advance. This is mainly dependent upon where you are located and the services that you are requesting and how your work order fits into the schedule that we already have during the time of your request. Customers who schedule appointments will always be given service priority.
What should I expect to do prior to the detail?
The most important thing is just ensuring that you remove as much of your personal items as possible from the interior of the vehicle. Anything that is found to be left behind that is not trash will be stored by us and not discarded, but the less items the better as having to remove items will prolong the service and could potentially lead to additional service fees during the initial inspection to account for excess extra time being spent.
Do I need to be present during the detail?
Initially, yes. We will need to meet with you to get the key to access your vehicle. We will also need to go over our pre-inspection process with you and discuss final details and pricing prior to beginning the work. This process doesn’t take long so that ample time is allotted for the service. During the job, you will not need to be present unless you so choose to be, then you are welcome to stay and observe! At the conclusion of the job, contact will need to be made with you for a post-inspection and for you to receive the key to your vehicle.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We currently accept cash, credit/debit cards, or PayPal. We accept checks only under certain circumstances (regular and loyal customers, commercial clients).
Can you come to my job or apartment?
We will come to any location so long as you have confirmed that there is pre-approval for us to be there to perform the service. All we ask is that the vehicle be positioned in such a way that there is enough room to maneuver around the vehicle to do the things that we need to do. If the vehicle is in a parking space surrounded by other vehicles parked on either side then that would not be the ideal location for the vehicle as this would make performing the detail extremely difficult. In an apartment parking lot setting, parking the vehicle with a free parking space on either side of the vehicle will be ideal if possible.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes we do offer discounts! We offer 10% discounts for the following occupations either currently employed or retired: healthcare workers, education workers (school teachers/professors), first responders (firefighters, paramedics and law enforcement officers) and military, just show proper proof of employment. We also offer an additional 10% senior citizens discount as well (55 and over). The common denominator within this wide spectrum of discount opportunities is one thing that we value highly and that is SERVICE! The work that is performed in each of these career fields often times goes vastly underappreciated, so this is a token of our gratitude and a show of respect for all of the work that is performed in these fields!
What should I be aware of about your detailing process?
We do not manipulate or detail in sensitive areas of any vehicle such as the glove box, center console or trunk. This is to avoid and maintain the security of your personal items, documents, firearms, etc. We WILL perform detailing service in these areas under the condition that you specifically request it during the initial inspection process and you have these areas fully cleaned out.
